PLEASE NOTE: YOU MUST BE CURRENT ON YOUR DUES TO RECEIVE ANY BENEFITS ON YOUR HRA CARD.
Starting January 1, 2019, the Welfare Fund will make monthly contributions to an HRA account for hours you work in covered employment as long as those hours are paid for by your employer.
An HRA account will be automatically set up for you when funds are first available, however in order to access your account you must be a Member in Good Standing with your local union (your dues paid – not in arrears). Check out our new brochure which fully explains this benefit.
Current means be paid through the current quarter.
- 1st quarter: Due January (January through March) Should be paid in January not February or March to receive additional HRA benefits.
- 2nd quarter: Due April ( April- June) Should be paid in April not May or June to receive additional HRA benefits.
- 3rd quarter: Due July (July – September) Should be paid in July not August or September to receive additional HRA benefits.
- 4th quarter: Due October (October – December) Should be paid in October not November or December to receive additional HRA benefits.
If you want your button mailed to you please include $3.66 with your return envelope.
Effective Immediately:
Due to the high volume of calls to the Local in the recent months, there will be a $5.00 additional fee for the Local to process your dues over the phone. For your convenience, the Local offers many other options for you to pay your dues.

Dues can be paid:
- Online – with checking acct. or debit/credit card. Visit the Pay Your Dues page. Online Payments will have a service fee. $4.00 per transaction using checking or saving acct. – 5% charge per transaction using debit/credit card.
- PLEASE NOTE: To pay your dues online you must have your UBC ID # to log in to make a payment
- If you are going into arrears or you are going to suspended, your payment must be made by the closing time on the last business day of the month.
- You must pay the full quarter to receive your working card.

Arrears charge of $3.00 will be charged to your dues if your dues are not paid by the 3rd month of that quarter. (ex. Jan, Feb, Mar dues if paid in March. You will be charged $3.00 in March.)
Suspension charge of $3.00 will be charged to your dues if your dues are not been paid by the 6th month . (Ex. Jan, Feb, March, April, May, and June if paid in June. You will be charged $3.00 in June.)
